Important Projects

DNP Boot Camp
Challenge: Students entering the DNP (Doctorate of Nursing Practice) program have been out of school for many years, and were not prepared for jumping into doing the serious research required with the new technology available. Solution: Provide students with an immersive, 1-week program that will let them experience the skills required. Result: Students are now prepared to hit the ground running, and their research papers are of a much higher standard than previously. Skills used: Articulate Storyline

Instructional Methods for the Digital Environment
Challenge: Instructors of online courses were trying to duplicate the face-to-face classroom without conducting a clear analysis of the objectives, resulting in the use of ineffective instructional methods. Solution: Design a course that teaches how to choose appropriate instructional methods while modeling them. Result: Instructors are choosing appropriate instructional methods, and students are reporting greater satisfaction in their courses. Skills used: Articulate Storyline, Instructional Design, Course Facilitation.

Teshuva Chabura
Challenge: Subject Matter Expert with very low budget is interested in providing a course with a real-time component and support materials for reference before, during and after classes. SME is unsure how to organize the class. Solution: Use free subscription to Teachable.com platform, Zoom Video Conferencing. Provide clear outlines of each class and upload recorded sessions after each class. Result: A five-session, dynamic presentation with students maintaining access to materials and to instructor. Skills used: Coaching, Instructional Design, infographic design.
